Verify Correct Labels Using 2D Matrix Codes
Labeling errors on high speed lines can easily result in hundreds or thousands of mislabeled containers. Prevent high scrap rates, retailer rejections, customer returns and even potential recalls caused by mislabeled and mis-matched labels on your products.
Our EPIC 2D Matrix Inspection System uses 2D matrix codes already present on your labels to inspect for:
- Mismatching front and back labels
- Mismatch label to product “recipe” running on the line
- Misplaced labels – ensuring correct label placement and skew/angle of the label
Our system comes plug-and-play, ready to inspect your products at 99.9% accuracy.
Suitable for
Any round or square container or package with artwork (brand-specific or recipe-specific) and 2D barcode, (less than 6.5” diameter).**
NOTE: Parts must be oriented, OR have adequate gap to see 360 degrees around the product

- Mismatched label to product recipe (“Ocean Breeze” scent is programmed to be filling, but labels read “Pink Blossom” – applies to food flavors as well).
- Skewed or incorrectly placed labels
- Detects label placement down to 1mm off of desired location
- Detects label skew within 20 degrees of desired angle
- 99.97% accuracy
- Maximum of 3 false fails/false pass in 10,000 products
- High speed rejection of products that fail inspection off the line (no line stoppage)
